There are many ways to achieve Green Leadership and is important to remember that there is no one defined approach.
Whether you are:

A
Starter, an
implementer or well on your way to Green
Leadership, it is important to identify, prioritise and address the sustainability issues that are relevant to your business and your stakeholders. Considering your supply chain is key here, and many agree that a particularly effective way to boost sustainability performance is to share best practice both 'upstream' (to suppliers) and 'downstream' (to customers). In doing so, you are not only boosting your own organisation's sustainability credentials, but you will also have a positive and tangible effect on the behaviour, policies and approaches of these stakeholders. So when considering sustainability measures and beginning your journey, remember to look beyond your own activities (those in your direct control) to your wider 'sphere of influence'. The diagram below illustrates this idea.
